Our unique focus is child and adolescent behavioral health care. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with BPH, you will be responsible for managing psychotropic medications for the clients of BPH. Duties include initial Psychiatric Evaluation of client and subsequent follow up visits for medication evaluation and management. BPH has an exciting opportunity available for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner interested in contracted for 8-16 hours per week, whose focus is Behavioral Health. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is a professional who demonstrates a commitment in the assessment and management of mental health patients. They make independent and collaborative judgments in regards to the assessment, diagnosis and management of treatment for patients with psychiatric disorders, medical-mental conditions and substance abuse issues. He or she is expected to apply nursing and behavioral health policies when rendering care and providing health teaching to patients and families. ESSENTIAL & CORE FUNCTIONS: 1. Evaluates the needs of patients. 2. Develops a treatment plan. 3. Provides behavioral health care to patients. 4. Provides information to psychiatrists on the condition of the patient. 5. Provides medication to patients. 6. Educates patients about preventative care and the prescribed treatments. 7. Interacts with multidisciplinary team in a collegial manner.
