Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
St. Luke's Health System in Boise, Idaho is currently seeking three Nurse Practitioners to join their growing, hospital-based, Inpatient Neurosciences team. The Inpatient Neuroscience Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing high-quality healthcare through the diagnosis and treatment of acute illness and chronic condition. The NP works under the supervision of a designated physician, and in collaboration with a team of other providers and staff. This position specifically focuses on the care and health management primarily in the following subsets of inpatient neuroscience conditions: pre- and post-operative spine (non-traumatic), pre-, post-, and non-operative intracranial, and post-intervention stroke patients. Care will be coordinated on the inpatient neuroscience unit as well as the intensive care unit (ICU) and surgical intensive care unit (SICU). The Inpatient Neuroscience Nurse Practitioner position is a key member in communicating, problem-solving and planning between nursing, physician, therapy, case management and the patient.

JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
Graduation from an accredited school with a minimum of a Master’s Degree, as well as eligibility to obtain licensure from Idaho to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
Must obtain and maintain unrestricted prescriptive authority, DEA, and controlled substance licenses.
Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.
Ability to manage a chaotic work environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency & financial responsibility, safety, partnership & service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, and trust & respect).
