Hutchinson Clinic is actively seeking a motivated and highly capable leader to provide quality, patient focused and physician centric financial oversight throughout the organization. This role will require a confident yet humble executive with extensive experience in guiding the financial operations of a large physician practice. Specifically, this role will oversee all financial and other related activities within the areas of accounting, business office, purchasing as well as the information technology division. This self-starter will provide tactical direction, strategic analysis and business opportunity assessment.
In addition, this position will guide implementation and monitoring of annual operational and capital budgets, system-wide allocation of direct and indirect costs, annual audits, the design, evaluation and maintenance of successful financial models and will deliver interpretation of financial and operational analytics. This individual will also bring value through the effective management of managed care contracts and rate strategies.
Other Principle Accountabilities
Continuously analyze financial performance, operations, policies, systems, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective performance
Development and maintenance of financial and operational KPI dashboards
Develop and prepare standard and ad hoc reports to support decision making
Oversight of payroll processing and reporting
Lead role in analyzing and exploring means of reducing costs
Participation in performance improvement activities
Assists in the administration of all physician compensation arrangements
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will prepare executive and board level reports and presentations.
The CFO will be a data-driven leader with strong business acumen, impeccable communication and a high degree of financial/operational medical group administration knowledge including reimbursement and financial reporting. This individual will also possess the ability to articulate/deliver a system-wide message and preserve the organization’s core values while maintaining accountability and integrity.
Experience and Qualifications
Seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressive financial leadership in healthcare preferably in a large independent or physician-owned group practice setting
Experience in negotiating insurance contracts and managed care arrangements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field required
Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred
