Nemours Children’s Health System is seeking a PART-TIME Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Nemours Children’s Clinic in the North Central, Florida area.
This position is responsible for: Interviews patients, obtains and records health histories, completes physical and developmental assessments, diagnoses health problems, manages the health care of those patients for which he/she has been educated, provides health care teaching and counseling, initiates referrals and maintains health records.
1. Advanced (5 to 6 years of formal training/education beyond high school; e.g., Master’s Degree)
2. .Must have current ARNP license in good standing; Current BLS certificate; must have or will obtain certification (ANCC) within 2 years of hire.
3. Pediatric experience preferred
1. Provides medical and nursing care to pediatric patients with acute or chronic illnesses, with a patient/family centered care focus. 2. Elicits comprehensive or focused/interval health history(ies). 3. Performs complete or focused physical examinations. 4. Orders, performs, and/or interprets diagnostic or screening tests. 5. Develops and revises treatment plans. 6. Initiates, monitors, alters, or orders immunizations and medications related to conditions or illnesses being treated within applicable divisions. 7. Orders IV fluids and additives 8. Refers clients to other health care professionals and agencies as appropriate for specialized services, including but not limited to: other medical subspecialists, physical and occupational therapy, nutritional counseling and management, special education, growth and development/behavioral counseling. 9. Develops or approves in-school management plans for patients as appropriate. January 2012 10. Makes dietary, activity/exercise, counseling, education and health promotion recommendations within the ARNP scope of practice. 11. Initiates any other measure/procedure for which the ARNP has been trained depending on patients condition and judgment of the physician and the ARNP. 12. Documents the above activities in the Electronic Medical Record. 13. Complies with the HIPAA Regulations. 14. Complies with OSHA/Safety Regulations. 15. Adheres to Nemours Customer
