The Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Technician administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients.
The Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Technician is responsible for:
Operating and maintaining the hyperbaric chamber and associated systems as prescribed by a physician.
Monitoring patients in the chamber, including recording condition and ensuring comfort during treatment.
Maintaining applicable operating, maintenance, and safety logs.
Maintaining accurate patient records
Required: High school diploma or equivalent Must be certified and/or licensed in one of the following vocations or hold a diploma from an accredited institution in one of the following professions to meet the minimum education and experience requirements: Respiratory Therapist; Physicianï¿½s Assistant; EMT or Paramedic; Military Corpsman; Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse; Nurse Practitioner; Physician or Physiologist; Certified Nurse Aide, Certified Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician
Required: 1 year experience as a hyperbaric technician, or one year experience working in an acute hospital care environment
Required: BLS Must complete Introductory Hyperbaric Training Course as approved by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology within 90 days of hire Preferred: Certified Hyperbaric Technologist from the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology
