Telephone Triage/Advice RN Final Filing Date: 12/07/2019 The Department of Urology is proud to offer comprehensive diagnostic and treatment options for a wide range of adult and pediatric urological conditions, such as urinary incontinence, prostate and kidney cancers, kidney stones, male infertility and kidney dysfunction. Urology is also at the forefront of basic scientific and translational research and a primary site for clinical trials that offer new hope for patients. Responsibilities The Urology Clinic registered nurse is responsible for telephonic triage and advice, patient walk in-triage, case management of patients' with urologic conditions, assisting with patients with post-operative urologic needs and complications telephonically, responding to patient emergencies in clinic and managing disability and medical leave forms. Responsibilities also include triaging new patient referrals for appointment appropriateness. Provides direct patient care to a diversified patient population. Applies knowledge, experience and judgment to determine the importance of a situation, set priorities, and use abstract thought to evaluate clinical situations Participates in patient and staff education. Demonstrates leadership skills. Demonstrates accountability for own practices as defined by the Nurse Practice Act. Required Qualifications
