Geisinger Community Medical Center is seeking an experienced or newly graduated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our skilled team of critical care providers, practicing state-of-the-art medicine with support from its excellent physicians and nursing staff. Practicing Critical Care Medicine at Geisinger offers advanced practitioners the opportunity to advance their careers while also making a huge impact; not only in the lives of our patients, but the nation as a whole. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Must be a graduate of an ARC approved physician assistant program, eligible or certified by the NCCPA and eligible or licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine. Certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners and completion of Master's degree required. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA. Current certification in BLS and an updated CPR card required. Degree of professional training to qualify as a physician assistant/nurse practitioner both professionally and legally to perform all services indicated by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and licensure as described in the policy and procedure manual for utilization of physician assistants/nurse practitioners within the Geisinger System required. Completion of an approved graduate program required. Completion of an approved ACLS program preferred.
