The Christiana Hospital is actively seeking a Registered Nurse to 36 hours per week on the Evening/ Midnight Shift at our Christiana Hospital on the Acute Care for the Elderly Unit (ACE Unit). Weekend and Holidays - per the guidelines of the department. Responsibilities~ In this role, we work closely to deliver care that supports elderly patients facing an acute illness. The patient population, for this unit is older adults, typically age 70 and above. Our focus is maintaining function, providing education, and maintaining safety! As a member of the 6A team you will engage in a true relationship based care model, building relationships with patients and families as well as with your peers, guided by our values of love and excellence. Our Nurses will assist in managing a team of 5 medical patients per shift and work with the interdisciplinary team that includes a unit based Nurse Practitioner, both an attending and consulted physicians, pharmacy, physical therapy, and other assistive personnel. We closely monitor your patients, assessing their physical condition and their safety risks. You will handle emergencies and provide ongoing supportive care. You will receive training in evidenced based care practices for the older adult. Requirements:
