The Registered Nurse-Surgical Case Manager is self-directed and possesses effective skills in clinical assessment, critical thinking, problem resolution, and interpersonal relations and communication. He/she uses the nursing process and evidence-based practice while demonstrating nursing skills and knowledge necessary to be proficient in managing acutely ill, chronically ill, and clinically complex outpatients via telephone, home telehealth, secure messaging, and the Outpatient Surgery Clinic.
