Performs responsible professional work in directing and coordinating a recruitment and admissions program for the School of Nursing. Duties and Responsibilities of this LevelPlans, develops, promotes and implements a comprehensive recruitment program for the Watts School of Nursing. Travels statewide to participate in high school and college career day programs; talks with interested applicants relative to the nursing school as to curriculum, faculty, physical facilities, admissions requirements, job opportunities and other activities associated with the nursing program; writes monthly report on all recruiting activities for the Director of Nursing Education. Processes nursing applications received, interviews prospective students and prepares a comprehensive report on their personal and academic achievements; acts as Chairman of the Student Affairs Committee; writes letters of acceptance and rejection to each student reviewed by the Student Affairs Committee. Assists in the orientation of incoming students. Serves as a member of various faculty committees. Gives talks and lectures before civic, professional, and other community organizations in order to develop interest in nursing as a profession or career. Works closely with Marketing Department to plan their budget for the School of Nursing; evaluates the School???s efforts; and compiles statistics. Works with advertising agencies, television and radio stations for interviews, advertising/promotional activities and talk shows. Revises and updates form letters, brochures and catalogues as necessary. Performs related work as required. Required Qualifications at this Level EducationBachelor's Degree in education, healthcare, business or related field. Master's Degree preferred. ExperienceWork requires 3 years' experience in higher education, business, recruitment, healthcare, or related field. OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
