Administrative Director of Nursing - Emergency Services

Summary:

Directs and manages employees in multiple units engaged in providing care to a group of patients. Recommends and revises policies and develops performance standards, departmental goals, and objectives to maintain patient care. Ensures compliance with standards of nursing practice to promote optimum healthcare delivery. Acts as liaison with physician staff regarding unit issues.  

Requirements:

• Current R.N. license in the State of Texas required.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. MSN or BSN with other related Masters degree required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of nursing leadership in an acute care setting is preferred. Must possess experience in staffing, scheduling, staff development, personnel management and financial management.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others. Ability to comply with all Good Shepherd policies and procedures that are job-related and consistent with business necessity. Ability to effectively communicate with patients and provide competent care as appropriate to the ages of patients served by this position.
