St. Luke's Health System, Idaho Endocrinology Clinic is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP), Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant with endocrinology experience. The selected individual will be working with a very close, collegial, and patient-focused team of four physicians and five APPs. This role provides an outstanding work-life balance with a 4/10s schedule with no nights or weekends; day call is required on a rotating basis.
We specialize in metabolic diseases such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, parathyroid disorders, conditions affecting the pituitary and adrenal glands, and other conditions such as osteoporosis and cholesterol disorders.
Our clinic has the unique and fortunate opportunity to have several resources, including a pharmacy, lab, and specialty testing. We also partner with the St. Luke's Humphreys Diabetes clinic, where we work closely with diabetes educators and behavioral health service providers.
The APP is responsible for providing high-quality healthcare by diagnosing and treating patients with mild to acute and chronic conditions. The APP works under the supervision of an Endocrinologist and collaborates with a team of other providers and staff.
A minimum of one year of experience with chronic disease management is required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- Graduation from an accredited school with a minimum of a Masters Degree and certification, as required by the specialty, as well as eligibility to obtain licensure from Idaho to practice as a Nurse Practitioner
- Must obtain and maintain unrestricted prescriptive authority, DEA, and controlled substance licenses.
- Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.
- Ability to manage a fast-paced, busy clinical environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
- Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency & financial responsibility, safety, partnership & service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, and trust & respect).
