Job Summary: Provides full scope midwifery care in an inpatient and outpatient setting for a community hospital in a Rural Health Provider Shortage area.

Responsibilities & Highlights:

• Provide prenatal and well-women GYN care as well as antepartum, intrapartum, and post-partum care.
• Work collaboratively with a supportive group of OB/GYN’s
• Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost-effective and quality of care provided to our patients.
• Shares 1:6 (flexible) call schedule with dedicated, reliable OB/GYN team
• Level I nursery with 24 hour Anesthesia services & 
• Pediatrician assisted Cesarean sections
• Excellent support services including hydrotherapy, lactation services, patient and family preparation classes and highly skilled RNs

Minimum Qualifications  •Completion of a Nurse-Midwifery educational program approved by ACNM and accepted by the New York State Education Department.  NYS license to practice Midwifery. Certification by the ACNM.
