The role you’ll contribute:
The Staffing Coordinator will assist unit managers in the day-to-day scheduling of hospital staff to meet the department specific daily needs of patient census at all three campuses in accordance with Hospital Mission, policies, goals and expectations.
Assistances in the maintenance of attendance and tardy records for all nursing staff. Notifies Staffing Office Manager of team members approaching coaching or discipline and trends in time-clock punches. Creates and distributes daily staffing plans based on current census and projected needs of admissions and discharges. Assists with the maintenance of a centralized file of team members contact information including, home and mobile telephone numbers.

- Coordinates staffing within guidelines
- Coordinates daily communication of staffing needs with all three facilities to review staffing needs
- Maintains staffing to department matrix, or nurse manager’s acuity direction
- Assists with the development and maintenance of four-week staffing schedules as requested by the unit’s manager or director.
- Maintains PRN Agency staffing information and files
- Assists Staffing Manager with PRN Agency orientation process
- Schedules PRN Agency staff for orientation with the approval of the Staffing Manager and/or Director of Nursing and assures all documentation is obtained.
- Obtains schedules from per diem internal float personnel
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Mental and emotional stability, demonstrating a courteous and calm approach to all contacts with patients, visitors, and health care team members.
- Mature judgment and the ability to handle confidential information within Florida Hospital guidelines and applicable regulations.
- Personal qualities such as kindness, compassion, understanding, integrity, respect, sense of humor, discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to learn and apply computer related applications and programs, including using electronic keyboards and other peripheral devices.
- Ability to communicate verbally in English and in written form with persons of varied backgrounds in a respectful, effective and professional manner.

- Minimum High School education or equivalent
- Computer experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- BLS - condition of employment (Required within 90 days from hire date)
