This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. This facility combines a 39-bed medical facility along with a 38 bed Community Living Center providing transitional care, both accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Fargo also has a Department of Veterans Affairs Benefits Office on campus, offering veterans the unique opportunity to obtain health care, benefits services, and Readjustment Counseling at one location. Due to the growing veteran population in our service area, ten Community Based Outpatient Clinics have been established. ["The Specialty Medicine Service Line within the Fargo VA Health Care System is recruiting for a full Time NP to join their Oncology Team. This is a Fargo facility-based, in-the clinic position (not a telework position). Duties would include working with Oncologists from the National Tele-Oncology Program in support of the care of our Veterans. Duties of the provider: NP will provide consultative services and follow up of medical subspecialty patients in his/her designated field in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting at the Fargo VA Medical Center or one of the affiliated CBOCs (Community Based Outpatient Clinics). Typical work hours are Monday to Friday 0800 to 1630. Alternative work hours, if desired, should be agreed upon at the time of joining. Each full time provider is required to work a minimum of 80 hrs per pay period (every two weeks) unless on leave status. On call responsibilities are specialty specific and may involve duty outside of typical business hours dependent upon the needs of the Service Line. During the course of employment, participation in activities/committees/boards/projects pertinent to the subspecialty or the Service Line may be necessary as dictated by strategic or other initiatives/taskings. All providers need to follow departmental and VHA policies for leave and attendance and will work within Title 38 appointment guidelines. Leaves should be requested in advance as much as possible to minimize disruption to patient care services. All unscheduled absences must be property communicated. A progress note must be entered on all inpatients on which the NP medical subspecialist rounds during weekdays, weekends or holidays. Timely documentation is necessary in all areas in accordance with departmental policy. All administrative work should be completed in a timely fashion. The discharge summary may be dictated. All other inpatient documentation should be entered by the provider into the medical record directly via CPRS. Prohibited abbreviations should not to be used.
