Overview

St. Luke's Health System in Meridian, ID currently seeks an Advance Practice Provider to assist one hand and reconstructive surgeon in providing continuity of care for their hand and reconstructive surgery patients (First Assit Requied). The position will entail a combination of operating room (OR) experience if desired and clinic, as well as some rounding at the Meridian hospital. This position will include follow ups from a wide array of surgical techniques, including but not limited to the following:

• Breast cancer reconstruction
• Breast surgery reductions, lifts and augmentation
• Hand and wrist surgery
• Peripheral nerve and brachial plexus surgery to address nerve injury
• Reconstruction and cosmetic surgery

The shift for this position will be primarily day time shifts with the possibility of call.

The Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) is responsible for providing high-quality healthcare through the diagnosis and treatment of patients with conditions ranging from mild, to acute and/or chronic. The APP works under the supervision of a designated physician, and in collaboration with a team of other providers and staff.

JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• Graduation from an accredited school with a minimum of a Master's Degree and certification, as required by the specialty, as well as eligibility to obtain licensure from Idaho to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• Must obtain and maintain unrestricted prescriptive authority, DEA, and controlled substance licenses.
• Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced, busy clinical environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
• Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency & financial responsibility, safety, partnership & service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, and trust & respect).
