JOB SUMMARY

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a skilled member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to Nurse Practitioner Protocol, and within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner License in the State of Wisconsin.

In this role the NP would travel on the mobile primary care unit, within 3 hours of the Marshfield, WI area. Visits include employer sites, and communities who are in need of services, and patients who are unable to get to a Marshfield Clinic Health System facility so we will bring the services to them. Services include primary care, vaccines, lab draws, and partner with Occupational Health at times. Includes traveling to multiple locations, and hours can vary from early morning to early afternoon or late afternoon to late evening. Position can be .5 FTE to 1.0 FTE which will be determined upon hire. This person would be the only NP on the mobile unit.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Master's Degree in Nursing.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: Two to three years' NP experience in Primary Care specialty.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: Current State of Wisconsin Nurse License or Nurse Compact License, and Nurse Practitioner Licensure. Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).

Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
